Rajnikanth Impressed with Big B’s Work

At a special screening of Ram Gopal Varma’s latest flick ‘Sarkar Raj’ starring the Bachchans, in Chennai, Tamil superstar Rajnikanth reportedly was so impressed with the film that he immediately called up Amitabh Bachchan and told him that this is his finest performance ever and that he is going to see the film once again purely for this reason. The Bollywood superstar touched by this gesture said, “It feels nice when an actor like him compliments you.”

‘Sarkar Raj’ Background Score Launched

The launch of the background score of ‘Sarkar Raj’ as well as the Idea Sarkar Raj Yatra took place at The Club in Mumbai. The Bachchan family including Amitabh, Abhishek and Aishwarya added glitter to the press meet that also saw the presence of music mogul Bhushan Kumar accompanied by wife and creative director Divya Khosla Kumar and filmmaker Ramgopal Varma. ‘Sarkar Raj’ will also be show-cased at the Idea IIFA World Premiere at Bangkok on June 6.

Big B, Ash Unveil ‘Sarkar Raj’ Game

Amitabh Bachchan along with his actress daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan attended the Mauj – ‘Sarkar Raj’ press meet held at the JW Marriott. Wireless solutions provider Mauj launched a mobile game on the soon to be released ‘Sarkar Raj’.

Abhishek Gives Sex Talk

From what we hear, Abhishek Bachchan is quite a prankster on the sets. It seems, recently he was shooting for Ram Gopal Varma’s ‘Sarkar Raj’ along with the rest of the unit at Anjanpur, a village in Hyderabad. The scene required Abhishek to lecture the villagers about a serious issue. Varma told him to ad lib as the actual dialogues would be taken care of while dubbing the particular scene. Besides, the maker had clearly instructed the villagers to look serious while listening to Abhishek. However, the moment, the clapper board was sounded and Varma said 'Action', junior B started lecturing on sex to the villagers, much to the embarrassment of those present around. He not only went into the biological details but also went on to explain the entire process to the bewildered villagers. When the rural folk realized what was happening they tried hard not to laugh as they didn’t want to incur Varma’s wrath. But they couldn’t hold back their laughter for long and they all burst into peals of laughter.

Eros To Release ‘Sarkar Raj’ Overseas

Eros International holds the overseas distribution rights of Ram Gopal Varma’s much-awaited film ‘Sarkar Raj’, a sequel to the hit ‘Sarkar, and will be releasing it in cinemas overseas on June 6. The film will see Amitabh Bachchan with son Abhishek Bachchan and daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, coming together on the big screen for the first time.

Eros showcased the first look of the film at Cannes Film Festival this year.

Ash’s Role Shortened In 'Sarkar Raj'

It is learnt a part of Aishwarya’s role in Ram Gopal Varma’s much awaited film ‘Sarkar Raj’ has been chopped as the film was running too long. Besides, the maker felt that Ash’s character as the CEO of an international firm was taking away attention from the main plot.

Unlike any other actor, who would have raved and ranted over this new development, the ex-beauty queen has taken it very sportingly. And why wouldn’t she? After all, the film’s main cast includes members of her family -- husband Abhishek Bachchan and father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan.

Big B, Jaya Attend ‘Sarkar Raj’ Media Meet

Note: Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan graced the media meet of his ready-for-release and most-awaited Sarkar Raj movie at a glittering ceremony held at JW Marriott. Jaya Bachchan, MP Amar Singh and the film’s director Ram Gopal Varma were among those present. In the film, Big B stars along with son Abhishek Bachchan and daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan among others.

Incidentally, Abhi and Ash celebrated their 1st wedding anniversary on the same day and were ecstatic to see their parents on the screen in Mumbai. The Bachchan’s broke into tears when they saw their children on the video screen live via Miami where Abhishek is shooting for Karan Johar’s ‘Dostana’.

Sarkar Raj – the Ram Gopal Varma diaries

Ram Gopal Varma is all set to hit theatres once again with his new flick Sarkar Raj that’s a sequel to the former ‘Sarkar’. Although it’s a sequel RGV claims that it is not in continuity, on the contrary it’s a different story all together.

As per Varma ‘Sarkar Raj’ is all about power used in politics and he has used every bit of his filming experience in showing the intensity of his lead actors through their eyes to emote anger, love and other relationships.

Varma also said that he feels Sarkar Raj will be much bigger than Sarkar was as the issues shown in the film are a lot more complicated and interesting at the same time.

The promos of Sarkar Raj are already out and it goes without saying that RGV has invested all his talent and creativity in this film that he has. He has even taken care of the finest technicalities that he could in terms of creating an impact with superior sound, be it any frame of the film. Having said that he also said that but at the end of the day it’s the performances that create maximum impact more than anything else…

And at the end of it all he is all praises for the Bachchans, he says the best in Bollywood will be seen all together in one film…

Sarkar Raj Synopsis :

When Anita Rajan, CEO of an international firm, brings a power plant proposal to set up in rural Maharashtra, before the Nagres, the insightful Shankar is quick to realize its benefits. After convincing Sarkar, Shankar along with Anita goes to the villages to mobilize support of the masses. However, things are not what they seem to be. From shady fixers with an eye on multi-million kick-backs to wannnabes who are ready to incite millions of people against the highly controversial project, Shankar’s dream project gradually becomes a political minefield. Evil forces gang up to bring down the regime of Sarkar and obliterate Shankar’s name from the political horizon.
